Case Converter

Paste text, pick a format and get it back converted: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case with every word capitalised, or Sentence case with a capital after each sentence break. Only letter casing changes — spelling, punctuation and spacing are left exactly as they were.

Sentence case is the one worth knowing about. It is the fix for text that arrived in all caps or with erratic capitalisation, because it lowercases everything and then capitalises the first letter after each full stop, question mark or exclamation mark. Retyping a paragraph to achieve that is a genuine waste of a few minutes.

Tips

Case Converter FAQ

Does this change my punctuation or spelling?

No. Only the case of letters changes; every other character stays as it was.

What exactly does Sentence case do?

It lowercases the whole text, then capitalises the first letter of the text and the first letter following a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser and the text is not transmitted.

Why did a name lose its capital letter?

Sentence case and lowercase apply to all words equally and cannot recognise proper nouns, so names need to be restored manually.
