QR Code Generator

Enter a URL or any short text and get a scannable QR code image back, ready to save and drop into a poster, slide, business card, packaging or a video end screen.

The code is a direct, static encoding of what you typed — it is not a redirect through a tracking link, so there is nothing to expire and no dashboard to sign into. The trade-off is that the destination is baked in: it cannot be pointed somewhere else later, so the URL needs to be one you intend to keep working.

Your result will appear here.

How to Use the QR Code Generator

  1. Enter the URL or text you want to encode.
  2. Select Generate to create the QR code.
  3. Scan it with your phone to check it resolves correctly.
  4. Save the image, or use the "Open QR image" link to open it at full size.

QR Code Generator FAQ

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The code encodes your text directly, so the image itself never expires. It stops being useful only if the destination page goes away.

Is my link sent to a third party?

Yes, for this tool specifically. The image is rendered by an external QR service, which receives the text you enter in order to draw the code. Our Privacy Policy explains this.

Can I encode plain text instead of a link?

Yes. Any short text works — a Wi-Fi name, a reference number, a short message.

Can I change where the code points after printing it?

No. A static code cannot be re-pointed, which is why it is worth choosing a durable URL up front.

Why will my code not scan?

Usually size, contrast or crowding. Print it larger, keep dark-on-light contrast and leave a clear margin around it.
